The B.L.A.C.K. Chat: Bridge Builders

BLAKC CHAT - BRIDGE BUILDING2

UBE hosts “The B.L.A.C.K. Chat”, a bi-weekly community town hall series. We recognize that much of life is about dealing with strengths and struggles. B.L.A.C.K. is acronym for Building Leaders And Cultivating Knowledge. We want to create a safe space for discussing issues impacting many of the sub-populations within the Black community (Homosexual, Heterosexual, etc) and ways in which we can support one another. We believe conversations like these are vital to keeps us all moving in a progressive direction and integrated with society at large.

10/22 – “Bridge Building”

Once a month the UBE B.L.A.C.K Chat series partners with The Awakening for “Bridge Builders”!

Objective: That non-Christian LGBTs, gay Christians, celibates, ex-gays, liberal and conservative straight Christians and straight non-Christians all willfully enter into a place of constructive tension, intentionally forming a community that peacefully and productively takes on the most divisive topics within the culture war that is FAITH and SEXUALITY.

October Topic: Reconciliation PT. 2  (We will explore & discuss the theological, social, political & scientific means in which we can live an actual reconciliation out).
