Webinar: Anal Pleasure and Health

The HIV epidemic has narrowly focused attention on the harms of anal sex, despite the pleasure people find in practicing it. After 30 years, many of us are hungry for comprehensive information about anal sex that isn’t limited to a narrow focus on HIV prevention. This webinar aims to provide advocates, healthcare providers, and individuals alike with straightforward information about anal health, building comfort and confidence in exploring some of the pleasures, harms, and harm reduction strategies associated with anal sex. By the end of this webinar, we will cover:

• How the anal taboo shapes the ways we communicate and relate to information about anal pleasure and health;
• Basic anal physiology with a focus on pleasure;
• 10 questions every HIV worker should be able to answer; and
• Resources to further your anal health education.

The webinar will feature a visual and audio slide presentation with an opportunity for audience participation using the webinar chat function. The webinar will last 60 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for questions and answers.
