Dallas In Common is independently owned and privately operated. It is not part of a newspaper, broadcaster, or nonprofit organization, and it has no relationship with any government agency. Independence from United Black Ellument

This domain, ubedallas.org, was previously used by others, including for content related to United Black Ellument (U-BE), a program that public reporting describes as administered by Resource Center Dallas rather than as its own separately incorporated nonprofit. Resource Center folded the U-BE program name, along with several other identity-based programs, into a new umbrella brand called Community Wellness in October 2025.

Dallas In Common has no relationship with U-BE, Resource Center Dallas, Community Wellness, or any person or organization formerly associated with this domain. This publication does not claim to continue U-BE's work, does not use its name, branding, events, or mailing lists, and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Resource Center Dallas or any successor to U-BE in any way. Where U-BE or Resource Center Dallas appear elsewhere on this site, they are referenced only as documented subjects of Dallas history, in our own words, never as an organization this publication continues.
