We don't publish a list of dated events on this page. Here are the official calendars that do, and a quick way to check them yourself.
Why we don't list specific events here
A page like this one is tempting to fill with a list of dated events. We're not doing that. Any specific event and date we published today would be stale by the time you read it, and while researching this page we found a clear example of why that matters: VisitDallas's own Weekend Picks page, checked on September 4, 2026, was still displaying listings dated September 2024, two years out of date. We'd rather point you to the calendars that update in real time than repeat that mistake with our own outdated snapshot.
The official calendars to check
These are the sources we'd start with, each maintained by the organization it covers:
- Dallas Culture Calendar, run by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, which links out to other official arts calendars, including the AT&T Performing Arts Center's Culture Calendar and the Dallas Public Library's events calendar. Its embedded calendar module was showing an "under construction" message when we checked it; use its outbound links if the main calendar isn't loaded.
- VisitDallas's general events calendar, which the organization describes as the most complete list of Dallas events, covering concerts, festivals, sports, and museum exhibits.
- VisitDallas's Weekend Picks page, described by the organization as editor's picks for the week's best concerts, nightlife, and exhibits. As noted above, confirm the listings are actually current before trusting them.
- Klyde Warren Park's Events & Programming page, which lists the park's own dated recurring and one-off free programming.
- Dallas Public Library's events calendar, with day, month, and list views covering free programs across branches.
A quick process for checking what's on
- Start with two or three of the calendars above rather than one; each tends to surface different kinds of events.
- When you find something that looks good, click through to the venue's own page and confirm the date, time, and any cost directly. Calendar aggregators sometimes lag behind a venue's own updates.
- Do this check the same day you're deciding, not earlier in the week, since listings change.
This page is intentionally evergreen. We update the list of calendars here, not a feed of events, so it stays useful no matter when you're reading it.
